Night of the Jack Returns With an All-New Carnival for 2026

September 17, 2026

šŸŽƒ A favorite Southern California Halloween experience is glowing brighter for 2026! Night of the Jack returns to King Gillette Ranch with an entirely new trail, thousands of hand-carved pumpkins and its first-ever carnival.

Thousands of glowing pumpkins, larger-than-life displays and plenty of Halloween magic are returning to Southern California this fall. Night of the Jack will take over King Gillette Ranch in Calabasas from September 25 through November 1, 2026.

For families who enjoy Halloween without the jump scares, this immersive outdoor experience offers a festive evening filled with light, color and creative pumpkin art. Located approximately 60 miles from Upland, Night of the Jack is not exactly local, but it is still close enough for a special evening out. Families making the drive should allow extra travel time for Los Angeles traffic.

✨ What Families Will Find Along the Trail

The redesigned walking trail will feature thousands of hand-carved pumpkins arranged into imaginative scenes. This year’s themes include mythology, dinosaurs, alien abductions, a Kraken attack, skeleton bands and glowing DJ displays.

Families will also see larger-than-life lantern installations, projection mapping across the ranch’s historic architecture and colorful LED displays. New immersive photo spots will give guests plenty of chances to step into the scenes and take pictures with family, friends and Jack himself.

šŸ‘» Is it scary?
Night of the Jack is designed to be festive, not frightening. Families can expect Halloween mischief and atmosphere without haunted-house scares.

šŸŽ” New for 2026: A Halloween Carnival

For the first time, admission includes access to a carnival area featuring rides, inflatable attractions, nostalgic games and specialty food and drinks.

Good to know: Carnival rides are not included with general admission. An unlimited ride wristband costs an additional $35 per person. Guests can still enter and enjoy the carnival area without purchasing a wristband.

šŸ‚ Food, Drinks and The Spookeasy

A rotating lineup of Los Angeles food trucks and other culinary offerings will be available throughout the event. Adults ages 21 and older can stop at The Spookeasy for themed cocktails, craft beer and wine. Seasonal favorites such as hot cider and cocoa will also be available.
